Trading in the NFL Does Not Work Like it Does in the NBA

Jonas Knox reminds all of us that trading for a quarterback midseason to improve your team is not nearly as simple as it sounds. Jonas compares NFL trades to the superteam movement in the NBA, where because we as sports fans see the player movement in other leagues, we assume it works the same way in the NFL, which is not the case. He uses the 49ers acquisition of Jimmy Garoppolo a couple years ago as a prime example, and shows why the Bears, for example, don't have the time to attempt to improve at QB via trade this year.
