President Trump Spoke with GM CEO Mary Barra Regarding Job Cuts

"Not good. We are not happy about it." That's the reaction from President Trump on the announcement that GM is cutting thousands of jobs and shutting five production plants by the end of next year. CEO Mary Barra has confirmed that more than 14-thousand jobs will be cut due to low sales in sedan models such as the Chevy Cruze.

Speaking to reporters before departing for a rally in Mississippi yesterday, Trump said the U.S. did a lot for the automaker during the recession and he's unhappy they're halting production in Michigan, Maryland, and Ohio. The President also said he spoke to the head of the company and told her how unhappy he was.

Trump added that he insisted to Barra that the company finds something else for workers to manufacture.
