Penguins Open Season With Rare Loss To Sabres

Conor Sheary scored two goals as the Sabres defeated the Penguins 3-1 in the season lidlifter for both teams at PPG Paints Arena. 

The Pens traded Sheary to Buffalo after the 2018 season. Buffalo beat Pittsburgh for the first time in regulation since April 23rd, 2013. 

Evgeni Malkin scored for the Penguins. Matt Murray logged 38 saves in the loss. 

The Penguins are home Saturday night against the Blue Jackets.
