Why Colin Kaepernick's NFL Comeback Attempt is Cringeworthy and Pathetic

San Francisco 49ers v Los Angeles Rams
Ben Maller: “Do you have any empathy for Colin Kaepernick? I do not… He is not entitled to a job in the NFL and he wasn’t very good at the end of his run with the 49ers. The people who worship Kaepernick conveniently overlook how bad a quarterback he had been. This message on social media is unbecoming and pathetic. My advice to Kaepernick is to ‘open your eyes’. Kaepernick turned his workplace into a political rally and nobody is allowed to do that on company time without consequences. This LOOK AT ME video he posted online pumping weights was CRINGEWORTHY. He’s been working out his entire life and it’s part of his routine and lifestyle! Did I expect him to just eat nothing but donuts & candy all day and become a big tub of goop?? Just become a ‘Mr. Universe’ contestant in the ‘Washed Up Former Quarterbacks’ category.” (FULL audio at bottom of page).

Listen to Ben Maller blast Colin Kaepernick after the controversial former NFL quarterback uploaded a video to his personal Instagram account on Wednesday, lifting weights at the gym and dropping motivational music and captions that showed his desire for an NFL return.

Kaepernick hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2016 season, when he went 1-10 and averaged just 186.8 passing yards per game in 11 starts.

Since then, Kaepernick has become a notable activist and spokesperson, and recently reached a settlement with the NFL over allegations that he was being blackballed from football due to the backlash his infamous Nation Anthem kneeling caused around the league during the 2016 season.

Check out the audio below as Maller found the ‘comeback’ video rather pathetic.
